Clontarf Question the Candidate - responses have been received

Last Wednesday we sent out a special newsletter to all our subscribers asking them for questions that they would like to put to the 9 candidates contesting the Dublin North Central constituency on Friday.

We received 7 questions that covered topics such as:

• Anti-social behaviour in Clontarf
• The voting system for TDs
• The smoking ban
• Mortgage rate increases
• The 52 acres infill of Dublin Bay
• The Freedom of Information Act, as it applies to Dublin Port Co.
• Distribution of Lottery funds

We then sent the questions to all of the candidates last Friday and asked them to respond to us by last night, Tuesday.

We received responses from 6 of the 9 candidates:

• Sean Haughey
• Donna Cooney
• Aodhan O'Riordain
• Helen McCormack
• Richard Bruton
• Naoise O'Muiri

(listed in order of receipt)

We did not receive a response from the following 3 candidates:

• Paul Clarke
• John Lyons
• Finian McGrath
