Vicky Phelan Cervical Cancer Scandal Activist @ Clontarf Castle
In 2018, Vicky Phelan made national news when she delivered a statement at the Four Courts, refusing to sign a non-disclosure agreement with the HSE, after she and 220 other women in Ireland learned there cancers could have been preventable, only for an error in the national screen programme CervicalCheck, which had initially informed women their tests came back negative.
Phelan has since been a spokeswoman on the issue, and has culminated her experiences over the past few years into a memoir titles 'Overcoming'. As part of the national launch, Vicky will be at the Clontarf Castle this Sunday, 15th September at 2.30 pm, where she will be in conversation with Mary Kennedy.
Tickets are €20, and include a pre-signed copy of 'Overcoming', can be booked at the following link.
