The Viking Theatre presents 'Hollywood Valhalla'

09 May 2012 - 12 May 2012 The Viking Theatre
Aidan Harney’s play examines a decisive moment in the life of Rock Hudson, the 1950s Hollywood heartthrob, who became something more than just an icon in his final days by publicly acknowledging that he had AIDS. Hudson’s sexuality had been an 'open secret', carefully controlled to preserve his on-screen persona. In a society steeped in paranoia and ignorance, set during the the Reagan era of the 1980's, the play centres on a decisive moment in his life, where Rock's unresolved past prompts his to one final act of courage. Running for four nights only, the doors open at 7:45pm and tickets are €10, payable at the door.
