The Deadly World of Opera

13 Apr 2019 - 13 Apr 2019 St. John the Baptist Church, Seafield Road
Why do opera singers make such a unusual sound?
What exactly is an aria?
Can I clap at an opera?
Why does everyone sing in Italian?
What’s Pavarotti’s deal?
Does the seminal 1975 album ‘A Night at the Opera’ by Queen have anything to do with actual opera?

Join Irish National Opera in this free show as we introduce you to a truly amazing art form. Over the course of an hour, artists from the INO studio will perform operatic music spanning several hundred years as well as guide us through some of the curious terminology and traditions. Absolutely no prior experience of opera is needed, just a willingness to try something different!

Price: Free but a ticketed event. Tickets can be claimed at irishnationalopera.ie
