St. John Ambulance Clontarf Ambulance Fundraiser

23 Mar 2017 - 23 Mar 2017 Clontarf Rugby Club, Castle Avenue, Clontarf Dublin. 3

St. John Ambulance Glasnevin and Clontarf divisions will hold a Pub Quiz to raise funds to aid the purchase of a new ambulance to cover national duties, and more importantly, local duties in the Dublin North City.

This Pub Quiz takes place on Thursday 23rd March at 8 pm at Clontarf Rugby Club on Castle Avenue. Tickets are €10 per person and teams are made up of 4 people. If you don't have a full table there will be plenty of people willing and ready to join a team to make up four.

There will also be a raffle on the night, with proceeds from this and the quiz going directly to the purchase and kitting out of an ambulance.

To purchase tickets, or if you're interested in sponsoring a round or making a donation, contact Maeve Roantree on 087 9051143 or email maeve.roantree@stjohn.ie. Alternatively, contact Robert Tancred on 085 1600914 or email robert.tancred@stjohn.ie

Some information on St. John's Ambulance:

St. John Ambulance Clontarf cadet division set up in 2011. Since then, some of their cadet members have become adults and are now covering local events. their current ambulance is coming to the end of its life and is costing the divisions hundreds, sometimes thousands every year to keep it on the road. As a voluntary organisation, they do not get any funding and all money raised goes on ambulances and medical equipment. So they have given themselves an aim that for the next year they need to raise funds of approx 20-30k to purchase and equip their ambulance. This will allow for better treatment, better care and more efficient cover and allows them to cover more events locally. This pub quiz is the first fundraising event of the year.
