St Anne's Bark in the Park!

29 May 2016 - 29 May 2016 St. Anne's Park (Sybil Hill entrance), Sybil Hill, Dublin. 5

Bark in The Park 2016 kicks off on Sunday 29th of May in our very own St. Anne’s Park! Dogs and their humans from all over Dublin will take part in a 4km sponsored dog walk in St Anne’s  to raise funds for animal welfare charity the Irish Blue Cross.

The Irish Blue Cross promotes responsible pet ownership and provides low-cost veterinary services to pet owners on low incomes in the Dublin area. Funds raised will help the charity to continue providing these vital services and cover the costs of essential equipment and medicine. In 2015, the charity provided approximately 28,500 treatments to pets in Dublin, ranging from vaccinations and check-ups to x-rays and neutering for dogs, cats and other small pets. Treatment is provided by the charity’s three mobile clinics at ten locations around the Dublin area and in its small-animal clinic in Inchicore.

Bark in The Park at St Anne’s Park starts at 3 pm at the Sybil Hill Road entrance beside St. Paul’s College.

Entrants are recommended to start arriving from  2 pm for 2.30pm registration. Goody bags and doggy treats for all canine and human entrants have been sponsored by Maxi Zoo and Image Magazine. Prizes will be awarded for the dog with the Best Bark, Happiest Smile, Shiniest Coat, Waggiest Tail and Best Trick.

To register for your sponsorship pack and more information see www.barkinthepark.ie, alternatively participants can enter at the event and make a donation on the day.
