10 Feb 2016 - 10 Feb 2016 Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality, 426 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin. 3

Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality presents its 2016 Series, which will show a new selection of films on the second Wednesday of each month. Each film will be preceded by a brief introduction and, afterwards, there will be an opportunity to reflect both personally and as a group on the issues and values illustrated.

The ‘Movies that Matter’ film for February is ‘The Way’ (USA, Spain 2010, 123 mins, Cert 12A).

Directed and adapted for the screen by Emilio Esteves and staring his own father Martin Sheen, the film depicts Tom who travels overseas to recover the body of his son who died while travelling the “El Camino de Santiago”, and decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage, to honour his son’s desire to complete the journey.

The film starts at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 10th February and will be followed by participatory reflective discussion guided by Eileen O’ Driscoll the programme director.
