Launch of the Battle of Clontarf Heritage Trail
The trail will consist of a series of heritage boards, approximately every 0.5km on the Clontarf Promenade between the Alfie Byrne Road and the Wooden Bridge. The heritage boards will be double sided and mounted perpendicular to the path. The six boards will outline the story of the Vikings, Brian Boru and the Battle of Clontarf in word, map and illustration in Irish and English.
Daily guided tours, at 2.30pm will be provided during the two weeks of Easter from the 13th – 27th April 2014.
