Fitness is usually the #1 thing on everybody’s mind when it comes to the New Year, but it can sometimes be hard to get motivated. Wouldn’t it be easier to kick off a new fitness regime by taking part in an exciting Guinness World Record attempt?

At 12 noon on Saturday 3rd January 2015, thousands of people from all over the world will be taking part in a Guinness World Record attempt for the ‘World’s Largest Simultaneous Group Workout.’ The idea is that people from all over the globe will sign up and work out at 12 noon (in your local time zone). Tens of thousands of people from over 11 different countries have already made the pledge to join in.

And guess what… you can take part in Clontarf! The IWA gym on Blackheath Drive is playing host to a group of people determined to take part and achieve the world record - and they want you to join in!

The IWA is hosting a free circuit training session for people of all levels to invite people to join the World Record Attempt.

What’s more, for every person that participates 30 meals will be donated to malnourished children. The charities are the Irish Youth Foundation, Crosscare and the Peter McVerry trust.

Afterwards, free healthy snacks and smoothies will be served.
