Irish Open Veterans Championships @ CLTC

Clontarf Lawn Tennis Club, Oulton Road, is very honoured to be hosting the 2019 Irish Open Veterans Championships this June Bank Holiday Weekend, May 30th – June 3rd.

This is a nationwide competition and this year’s tournament has a huge number of entries with over 250 players coming from every corner of Ireland. With over 30 events ranging from o/35’s to o/80’s, it promises to be a really entertaining tournament with some great matches.

Vincent Weldon, President of CLTC said  “I would like to thank Tennis Ireland for this opportunity as it is a great honour and a privilege for our club to host such an important event in their calendar. The feedback received from competitors in previous year’s events generally alludes to the fact that this is a tournament full of personality, character, fun and goodwill while at the same time being more than a little competitive. This means it really is the ideal fit for our tennis club as it is a reflection of similar characteristics that we witness on a daily basis throughout the year on our courts”.

Spectators are welcome to join in on the fun at CLTC this weekend and watch some great tennis.
