Get ready to hop on your bikes, Clontarf! Dublin City Council (DCC) has organised a fantastic lineup of events for Bike Week 2025, running from Saturday, 10th May to Sunday, 18th May right here in our community and just a pedal away.

It's the perfect excuse to get out, enjoy the fresh air and meet fellow cycling enthusiasts. This year, Clontarf will be buzzing with activity, including a unique sunrise cycle, a fun singles cycle and an intriguing biodiversity cycle. Plus, there's a handy free mechanic service nearby to get your bike in top shape!

Here’s a rundown of the events you won’t want to miss:

  1. Free Public Bike Mechanic Service – Get Your Bike Road-Ready!

Okay, so this one isn't strictly in Clontarf, but it's super close and incredibly useful for all our local cyclists! Before you head out on those Bike Week adventures, make sure your trusty steed is in perfect working order. TN Cycles are offering a free public mechanic service on Guild Street. It's a brilliant opportunity to get those gears checked and brakes tightened!

  1. Singles Cycle & Mingling Event – Pedal Your Way to a New Connection?

Looking for a bit of fun, exercise and maybe even a new friend (or more!)? Join the Singles Cycle and Mingling event! The cycle starts with a meet-up at the iconic Luke Kelly Statue, then enjoys a scenic pedal along our beautiful coastline to the Wooden Bridge. Afterwards, the group will head to Meagher’s in Fairview for some delicious pizza and a chance to chat and mingle. Who knows what might spark!

  • Location: Meet at Luke Kelly Statue (cycle to Wooden Bridge and finish in Meagher’s, Fairview)
