Frank Shouldice - Grandpa the Sniper Reading!
Local author Frank Shouldice will speak about his new book ‘Grandpa the Sniper’.
The author's Ballaghaderreen-born grandfather, Frank Shouldice Snr, was stationed at North King Street through the Easter Rising and also played a leading role throughout the War of Independence, during which time he was under constant surveillance Castle and MI5.
Like many 1916 veterans, Frank Shouldice Snr did not discuss those historic experiences, but his grandson and namesake now shares key insights on the fascinating story his grandfather never told.
Frank invites anyone interested, to head to the Viking Theatre on Sunday, April 17th for a memorable evening. The talk will begin at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome, and admission is completely free!
