Evening Lecture on Brian Boru

Cathy graduated in 1985 from University College Dublin with a Double First in History and Archaeology and was subsequently awarded scholarships to the University of Durham where she did her Masters and Oxford (her doctorate); she also holds a master in early Irish language and literature from Trinity College. She is currently the director of Irish Studies at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick. She is widely published in medieval Irish studies, on matters ranging from the introduction of Christianity to the taxation system of the eleventh century. Cathy has an article in the current issue of History Ireland (March/April 2014).
