03 Aug 2023 - 03 Aug 2023 O'Connell Street, Dublin

Dublin City Council invites all fans of the Girls in Green to join in celebrating the return of the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team from the FIFA Women's World Cup. The public reception is scheduled for tomorrow evening, Thursday 3rd August, starting at 6:30 pm on O'Connell St, in front of the GPO.

Entertainment will be provided by Block Rockin' Beats DJ Dec Pierce, followed by a welcome for the team from MC Dave Moore of Today FM. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Daithí de Róiste, expressed his pride in the team's performance and encouraged people to attend and show their appreciation in person.

DCC urges the public to use public transport to attend the event, which is a family-friendly and alcohol-free event. For the latest information on public transport, please visit www.transportforireland.ie. Luas Green Line services will run between Broombridge and Dominic Luas Stops, and from St. Stephen’s Green to Sandyford / Brides Glen Luas Stops only during this time. Valid Luas tickets will be accepted on Dublin Bus.

To ensure a smooth event, DCC asks the public to enter O'Connell St. from the O'Connell St. Bridge end and follow the event signage and stewards' instructions.

As an additional tribute to the team's success, Beckett Bridge will feature a special COYGIG message to give Vera Pauw and the squad a memorable welcome home. Let's make it an unforgettable evening for the team with as many supporters as possible to cheer them on.
