Dublin North Bay Summer School 2025

The Dublin North Bay Summer School, incorporating the Stoker Dracula Summer School, will take place on June 13 and 14, 2025, at the Marino Institute of Education.`

Day 1 - Friday, June 13:

• 6:30 pm: Registration and tea/coffee will be available.
   
• 7:00 pm: Welcome remarks will be given by Dennis McIntyre, Director, and Prof. Teresa O' Doherty, President, MIE.
   
• 7:15 pm: The official opening will be conducted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blain.
   
• 7:30 pm: Keynote speaker 1, Mary Muldowney, will present on "Memories of the Dublin Cattle Market in the 20th century," followed by a Q&A session.
   

Day 2 - Saturday, June 14:

• 11:00 am: Keynote Speaker 2, Jim Shanahan, will deliver "The Bram Stoker Memorial Lecture" on "Bram Stoker's literary imagination in Dracula and other writings," followed by a Q&A.
   
• 12:00 noon: Lunch will be available in the college cafeteria.
   

Afternoon sessions:

• 1:00 pm: Dennis McIntyre will speak on "The Revolution that was Donagh O' Malley's 1967 Education Act," followed by a Q&A.
   
• 2:00 pm: Noel Carolan will discuss "The Starving West, Food Supply Challenges and the New Irish State 1925," followed by a Q&A.
