Darkness into Light Clontarf in Aid of Pieta House

11 May 2019 - 11 May 2019 Carpark @ Hollybrook Road/Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin. 3

Clontarf will host its first-ever Darkness into Light Walk on 11th May 2019.

The 5km event, in aid of Pieta House, which saw 200,000 people in 2018 take part across 150 global locations, raises vital funds to provide a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm. Just as importantly, the event also raises awareness of this important issue among communities.

The walk, which will take part on the seafront, will begin at 4.15 AM and will see people from Clontarf and the surrounding communities come together to walk from darkness into light, encouraging a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance.

We advise people to register early as there is a limited number of registrations and as we predicted that Clontarf places are filling up quickly. To take part you MUST register for Darkness into Light Clontarf 2019 at this link

We would also like you to note, that the Clontarf Communions are taking place on the 11th of May, but as this is a global event which takes place on the same weekend every year this is out of the Clontarf Darkness into Light Committee's control. If you have a communion to attend in Clontarf, you might want to bear this in mind before registering.

We will be posting updates on LoveClontarf.ie, but we would encourage all interested to follow the Darkness into Light Clontarf Facebook page where more information will be posting detailed information over the coming weeks.
