Clontarf Yacht and Boat Club Fundraiser For St. Francis Hospice
Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club have come up with a brilliant idea to commemorate the 1000 year anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf in the form of a calendar. The CY&BC will be selling a themed 2015 calendar at the end of the year.
This limited edition 2015 calendar will comprise of the 12 best photographs submitted to the CY&BC. Do you have any photos of the 1014-2014 celebrations? If so, send them in!
**UPDATE** The CY&BC have decided to expand the photo competition. As well as photographs of the millennium celebrations, the CY&BC are now accepting entries that include anything local: scenes, themes, faces, places, sunrises, sunsets, boats, floats, larks in the park, your flower bed - even your dog!
**UPDATE** The CY&BC have now extended the closing date for entries until September 27th 2014.
**UPDATE** With over 100 entries received to date the competition for the top 12 Millennium moments of 2014 is really heating up!!
Diary dates:
- Closing date for entries is 27th September 2014 - 3 entries per person in high quality JPEG format to clontarfcalendar@gmail.com. ***If you are having trouble emailing this address, please send photos to webmaster@cybc.ie as an alternative.***
- On Saturday 4th October @ 8pm all related submissions will be displayed on the BIG SCREEN at the Club House. The 12 winning photographs will be selected by open majority vote on the night.
- On Friday 7th November @8pm The Club will host the launch celebrations for the ‘Battle of Clontarf millennium moments Calendar 2015’ with a prize giving ceremony and the Calendars available for sale
