CRC Burma Challenge 2012

03 Nov 2012 - 14 Nov 2012 Burma
Off limits to tourists for over 15 years and just back on the tourist map, to this day Myanmar remains one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world. Being cut off from the rest of the world for so many decades, Myanmar has achieved a unique preservation of culture bounded by a rich, unspoilt landscape. Abundant in natural resources, the landscape of Myanmar ranks amongst the most breathtaking sights anywhere in the world, each of the destinations within Myanmar; whether it be the capital Yangon (Rangoon), Bagan and its many hundreds of ancient temples. Heho and its collection of Buddhist stuppas, or Inle Lake home to floating villages and fishermen with conical nets and a distinctive style of 'foot-rowing' have striking features differentiating Myanmar from any other destination within South East Asia. The 30 strong group will depart Dublin on Sunday 4th November for this remarkable twelve day adventure of a lifetime. If you would like to join the group contact the CRC Fundraising Department on freephone 1800 612 612 for an information pack.
