Clontarf Wines Argentine Wine Tasting!
Clontarf Wines are delighted to welcome Janine Smink of Bodegas Salentein, to the store on On Wednesday, October 23rd.
In the remote upper reaches of Argentina’s Uco Valley on the Eastern slopes of the Andes, Bodegas Salentein produces a remarkable collection of wines from vineyards planted at some of the highest elevations on the planet.
Chief winemaker, Jose Galante, is considered to be one of the most influential winemakers in Argentina today, known as the father of Argentine Malbec. Jose’s wines are well-structured and elegant, characterised by deep colour and rich and complex aromas and flavours. All of the wines are aged in French oak barrels.
On the night, Janine will conduct a tutored tasting of the Salentein Range showing not just Malbec but also, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
Cheese & Charcuterie boards will be served to complement the wines.
