Clontarf Historical Society Talks - The Coombe Hospital & 1916

Clontarf Historical Society will host their talk for September on Monday 12th at 8.15 pm in the Resource Centre at St John's, Clontarf Road. 

The subject of the talk will be "the Coombe Hospital and 1916", and will be given by Ann Louise Mulhall. 

"In 1916 the Coombe Lying-In Hospital was situated on the Coombe, near the bottom of Meath Street in Dublin’s Liberties. This lecture looks at the services provided, funding, staffing and governance structures of the hospital. What was life like in Dublin in 1916? How the hospital and people associated with the hospital were effected by the Easter Rebellion 1916."

Clontarf Historical Society meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 8.15 pm, in the Resource Centre, St John The Baptist Church, Clontarf Road. Talks take place from September and run until June.
