Clontarf Historical Society Talk by Liam Clare

07 Oct 2012 - 07 Oct 2012 Parish Resource Centre, St John the Baptist, Clontarf Road
The second talk in Clontarf Historical Society's new season of talks focuses on the Dublin Cattle Market. Liam recollects how the herding of cattle down the North Circular Road is the sole surviving memory which many older Dubliners have of the Dublin Cattle Market. But the market was an extremely important Dublin institution, and was once ‘the biggest and best’ cattle market in Europe. Starts at 8.15pm.
