Clontarf Historical Society | April 2019 Talk
The Clontarf Historical Society will host their talk for April 2019 on Monday 8th, at 8.15pm
April's talk is titled Womens' Year (Bliain na mBan) 1918 and will be given by Cathy Scuffil
The year 1918 started to shape the events in times to come. Sometimes called 'Blian na mBan', or 'Women's Year' based on their 'wonderful demonstration' and '"..dignified and deeply impressive spectacle.." during the anti-conscription protests. These events and others are discussed in detail in this presentation.
Clontarf Historical Society meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 8.15 p.m. in the RESOURCE CENTRE, beside ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, CLONTARF ROAD
