Clontarf Astronomical Observing

29 Nov 2014 - 29 Nov 2014 Car Park Opposite Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club

The Irish Astronomical Society (IAS), founded in 1937, is a voluntary association established to foster an interest in astronomy and the wonders of the night sky. For many years the IAS has operated public observing sessions via their Dublin Sidewalk Astronomers section in Sandymount, Dublin 4.

Now, the IAS propose to provide a similar facility in the Clontarf area!

The location selected is the car park opposite the Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club, and the first session is proposed as Saturday, November 29th at 8 pm. Weather permitting, the IAS will have modern telescopes available to view the night sky.

All are welcome to this free of charge event. The IAS hope to repeat this activity once a month during the winter months.
