Bull Island Action Group November Beach Clean Up!
The Bull Island Action Group ‘Monthly Beach Clean Up’ for November, will take place on Saturday the 21st.
This month, we are determined to offer some help to our friends, Pete and Laura, who are putting in a massive (sometimes daily) effort to keep the beach area between the causeway and Sutton Creek free of litter.
Those wishing to volunteer are asked to arrive at the entrance to Dollymount Strand at 10:50AM, in order to begin the clean up as quickly as possible.
Dublin City Council will provide a tractor and trailer, plus a driver, to remove and dispose of all the rubbish collected by volunteers. The Dublin Port Company will provide litter-picking equipment, such as litter-pickers, bin bag hoops, rubbish bags and gloves.
The weather forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy with no rain, and a temperature of 11 C. Nonetheless, volunteers are advised to wrap up well and bring a rain jacket. Good footwear, and thick socks are also essential.
The wether forecast for 21-11-15 is as follows : Fair weather with sunny spells and no rain forecast. Strong breeze - 12 m/s from northwest. It will be very cold with a forecast temperature of 3 C.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community and keep Clontarf looking beautiful!
