Battle of Clontarf - Where it All Ended!

12 May 2014 - 12 May 2014 Clasac, Alfie Byrne Road

The final lecture in the series Battle of Clontarf - where it all ended! is taking place next monday night 12th May 2014 at 8.15pm in the Clasac, Alfie Byrne Road. The series had its national launch in November 2013 with a half day seminar titled "What really happened at the Battle of Clontarf".

The series of lectures has been very well attended and has covered a wide range of topics from the Archaeology of Viking Dublin, Brian Boru and his Dal Cais origins to various lectures on the Battle of Clontarf.

We would like to thank Comhaltas for providing us with a fantastic venue in the Clasac for our series of lectures..

This will be the final lecture in the series by noted medieval academics, that was organised by Clontarf Historical Society & Raheny Heritage Society on the Battle of Clontarf and related topics - except that it won't be a lecture! Instead, this session will be a panel discussion, again by a panel of academics, including Professor Sean Duffy, Professor Colm Lennon, Dr Cathy Swift, and Darren McGettigan.

The lecture will be followed by tea/coffee. Charge €5 per lecture for non-members. Attendance by members of both historical societies is included in annual membership of €20. Online booking or pay on the night.
