Bark in the Park

24 May 2015 - 24 May 2015 St. Anne's Park

As summer approaches, The Irish Blue Cross is holding the first of its signature annual Bark in the Park™ sponsored dog walks in St. Anne’s Park in Raheny on Sunday, 24th May at 3PM to raise vital funds for sick and needy pets.

We can guarantee entertainment and fun for all the family, both 2-legged and 4-legged. After the walk, participants will be in with a chance to win one of the much-coveted prizes for the dog with the Best Bark, Happiest Smile, Shiniest Coat and Waggiest Tail! There will also be a raffle with great prizes, music and goody bags containing canine and human treats.

The walk takes place over a picturesque 4km route, suitable for all dogs and owners, starting from, and finishing up at the Sybil Hill Road entrance beside St. Paul’s College. Participants are advised to arrive between 2PM and 2:30PM in order to register, buy raffle tickets and of course admire all the canine entrants! The walk begins at 3PM sharp.

Maxi Zoo, are kindly sponsoring doggy treats for all the canine participants and spot prizes, and Mars & Image Magazine are providing the human treats. In 2014, over 160 dogs and their owners took part in the St. Anne’s Bark, raising over €4,000 for the charity. The 4 Bark in the Park events in 2014 raised over €16,500. Last year, The Irish Blue Cross provided in the region of 30,000 treatments and surgeries to pets whose owners could not afford a private vet, and we expect this figure to rise this year. All funds raised will go towards the charity’s animal welfare work.
