A Night at The Races for Clontarf GAA
The Cluain Tarbh U14 girls and boys teams are hosting a fundraising race night for their Féile teams in the GAA clubhouse on Seafield Road on Saturday March 11th starting at 8pm.
Every year the U14 teams take part in the Dublin Féile which is the first competitive multi-club competition they take part in. Successful teams can go on to regional competitions or the National Féile. In 2016 the Clontarf girls team qualified for the National Féile in the Southwest where they won their first national title.
The night promises to be a lot of fun and entry to the 'racetrack' is free. There are 10 virtual races on the card including the maiden Féile mentors chase run over 1 and a half furlongs which promises to be an interesting encounter!
Anyone who is interested can purchase a horse or jockey for the race night via the online booking link on www.clontarfgaa.com/racenight.
There are also sponsorship opportunities available and any local businesses who would be interested in sponsoring a race should contact the organisers at racenight@clontarfgaa.com. Any local businesses who would like to donate a prize to the raffle are very welcome. The girls teams are first in Féile action on Saturday April 1st. The boys football teams are in action the following Saturday the 8th with the hurlers taking to the páirc on April 29th.
