'What Alice Found There' - A Visual Art Exhibition
1. Artist: Catherine Barragry - ‘strangely toward’ a night event with performance and installation taking place on Sunday 19th June at 11pm. 2. Francis Fay and Mary B Keane - thebackyardtourists - ‘My Home is My Castle‘ , Site specific Installation/ drawing and performance work. thebackyardtourists set up home on top of the the hill and what was the site of the now demolished Mansion. The performances will take place on the 6th, 18th and 19th June, from 2pm. 3. Michael Fortune - ‘Information Boards’, text and image on two large informative signs situated in the park for the duration of the exhibition. 4. Carl Giffney - ’7407C‘, 7407C is a vehicle that will be patrolling St Annes Park over the course of the exhibition. In the wake of recent events in Ireland, 7407C will be ensuring that the peace is kept at St. Annes park. The vehicle will be on site at all times. 5. Jennie Guy and Claire Behan - I don’t want to eat alone (I want to eat in Utopia with you and you and you) Jennie Guy and Claire Behan invite you to take part in a picnic in St. Anne’s Park on Saturday 11th June from 2pm. 6. Joan Healy - ‘Slithy Gyre’ kinetic installation in tree stump at the duck pond, servo motors, microphones, arduino microcontroller, battery.”Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Multimedia performance, props and video. Performing on Monday 6th, Sunday 12th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June, from 2pm. 7. Maria Makrai - Drawings, Reflecting on the story of Alice’s adventure; the drawings will capture the essence of the narrative, which will unfold in the performance and temporary work of the different artists, together with the audience’s participation. The drawings will be on display in the Red Stables exhibition space for the duration of the show. 8. Niamh Murphy - Performance/living installation taking place on Monday 6th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June in the Rose Garden. Sound installation in the reception area at the Red Stables exhibition space. 9. Meabh Redmond - ‘Through the Camera Lens’, HD digital video, on display at the Redstables exhibition space for the duration of the show.
