This policy covers how the Clontarf Residents' Association ("the Association") treats personal information that the Association collects and receives. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

Information that you provide to the Clontarf Residents' Association is handled in accordance with the current Data Protection Act, the principles of which are that personal information should be:

Information that you provide to Clontarf Residents Association, is processed and stored solely for the purposes of:

1. Administration

2. Public relations

3. Accounts and records

4. Communications between the Association and you.

Under the Data Protection Act you are;

Entitled to request a copy of any information held about you. Entitled to data rectification – i.e. the right to request that any inaccurate data that is held about you is corrected, or if we have incomplete information you may request that we update the information such that it is complete. Entitled to data erasure – i.e. the right to request us to delete personal data that we hold about you.

Confidentiality

Data will be made available only to authorised personnel within the Association who we believe reasonably require having access to that information and will not be given to other parties except as may be required by law.
